Often which is the case for many people, they run out of space and decide to use pots, or their garden may consist entirely of pots, either way, they are always a welcome addition to your display. You may or may not know, we hold a HUGE COLLECTION of terracotta, glazed and plastic pots, so today, I decided to showcase how just the simple addition of the right pot will totally transform the look of not only the display area, but also the aesthetics of the plant inside it! It’s that secret cheat code we can all use but the results are I’m sure you’ll agree, breathtaking!!!

It’s not often that here at HQ, we get to see the end result of how our stock looks in situ, so it’s ALWAYS appreciated when a customer shares what they have done! The Team at Harr+Bass however went above and beyond! They are a install and design agency based here in Yorkshire, and they cater to the needs of many prestigious companies and events around the country, so when we were approached by them, we tried our upmost best to help! We supplied them with our stunning Half Standard Olive Trees which without a doubt look the ultimate statement, but then to find out that they were taken all the way to Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh, and used in the display on the Aperol Terrace on the rooftop of their building, that was a welcome surprise! I’m sure you will agree, they look amazing! Well done to the Harr+Bass team!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to do a re-visit to another one of our customers, and what a surprise I saw! Last year we supplied rootball Prunus Lusitanica so that they could plant a fresh hedge at the front roadside of their house, and I couldn’t believe how well it has come on in one year, the pictures don’t do the customers efforts justice!!!

Eanie, meanie, miny, mo, pick your plants, pay, then go!!! Despite the weather, and always thriving to give you that little bit more, we have in stock now these beauties! Whether you are wanting the tropical look or a big statement piece that also gives colour, we have got you covered, Boss Man is here ready to help!!! Some of you may remember, that when we did our annual pilgrimage to a trade show in January, we hinted at the citrus trees we had available, well now we have dropped the hammer and pulled them into stock! Just look at the size and quality of those that are growing!!! Available in 2 sizes, I’m sure that you will agree when I say that home grown never tasted, smelled or looked as good, now do I make a Gin or 2, or do I have something sweeter with a cheesecake?!!!

As the days are getting longer and the weather is trying its best to get better, there is no doubt that your garden is growing and showing life (as it should be now!). With that in mind, look at these beauties as they are just starting to flower and a great addition to any garden!

It’s non stop this morning, I feel like I’ve been chasing my tail!!! Not only have we had some fresh pot and pack Pansy, Primula and Viola delivered, we have also got our first crop of veg and strawberry plants. Nothing beats home grown!!!

Fresher than morning dew in the middle of spring, these Photinia, Goldcrest and Heathers will add colour and that finishing touch to your beds, borders or even pots!

Meet the new security team leader at HQ!!!

Boss Man’s done something special here! An alternative to Buxus, here at HQ, we have sourced something a little bit different, Ilex Crenata to be precise! These grow just the same as Buxus, nice glossy leaves, tight in growth and evergreen, the bonus is that they grow faster! We have them in both the green and the golden gem variety, now the only thing that you have to decide is where and how many do you need!!!

Despite the weather we have had recently, we still strive to bring you the best! These LIVING Willow are another example! But what a lot of people don’t know or is common knowledge, is that each one is hand woven!

Not a rain cloud in sight… hopefully I can put the waders away today!!!

Over the years we have done many deliveries to customers, whether it be to their homes or places of work. Every so often, one property will always stand out, it may be for the location, products delivered or just simply they were nice people to work with! On this occasion however, Chris and Alison fell into all of the above! Last year, HQ supplied them with a combination of LARGE Bay standards, Buxus hedging and Hydrangea Annabelle. The brief was to give their entrance walkway that wow factor, and judging by the pictures that Alison has provided, I think we have achieved!!! If you have any similar requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!!!
